Very good news from Carla Suarez Navarro, who is training at a normal pace now and we might see her back on the courts very soon!
Suarez Navarro, who completed chemotherapy to overcome Hodgkin’s lymphoma last January (after 126 days), had said that she didn’t want to end her career this way, making the big decision to return to professional tennis.
Today she trained on the clay and wrote on her personal social media pages, “I’m so excited to be training again! Thank you all for the love you send me.”
The fact that Suarez Navarro has returned to regular training on the dirt may also suggest that we will see her back on the courts this dirt season, which has already started this week. As a reminder, the clay season includes a very big tournament in Spain, the Madrid 1000, which will take place from April 26 to May 9.
