Maria Sakkari is expected to compete in 4 tournaments in the European clay season. See the schedule of the top Greek tennis player for the next two months.
Sakkari will not start this year’s commitments on clay from Charleston in the United States, where the last time the tournament was held in 2019, she had an excellent run to the quarter-finals, as after an amazing two weeks in Miami she withdrew her participation and returned to Greece.
Preparations for the clay season have already begun and the 25-year-old Greek tennis player, ranked No.19 in the world, will play her first match of the year on clay in Stuttgart, Germany, in an indoor event of the WTA 500 series.
She will then of course play in the three biggest tournaments of the clay season, the two 1000s in Madrid and Rome, as well as Roland Garros in Paris, which if all goes well will start on May 23 and conclude on June 6.
