On Friday he suffered a loss to Russia’s Stefan Shangichev, 3-6, 2-6, and on Saturday he returned to winning ways, beating Cosmo de Trafford of Malta, 6-0, 6-1.
His 2nd place group finish put him into today’s 3rd place match of the tournament (1st place from each group qualified him for the final), where his opponent, Alexander Zammit, did not go down, so Rafa took 3rd place with a walkover.
